Ravando

Privacy notice for outreach email

Who I am

I'm Ramón van Dooren. I run Ravando, a one-person automation business registered in the Netherlands (KvK 99651270, VAT NL005402482B52). Postal address: Bergerweg 61 Unit 8577, 6135 KD Sittard, The Netherlands. Email: ramon@ravandohq.com.

Why I wrote to you

I build systems that answer a roofing contractor's new leads within about a minute. I found your business on Google Maps and your email address on your own website, and I wrote to you by hand because I thought it could help.

What I hold about you

I don't buy lists or scrape social media, and I only look at your business, not your private life.

Why I'm allowed to

I'm based in the Netherlands, so the EU's GDPR applies to me. I rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): finding businesses that could use what I build and writing to them a few times at most. I weighed that against your interests: the details are about your business and already public, and one word from you stops it.

Who else sees it

Google (my email runs on Google Workspace, and I find businesses through Google Maps) and Reoon (it checks that an email address works before I write). They process it for me under data processing terms. Where they're outside the EU, the transfer uses the safeguards the GDPR requires. I never sell your details or share them with anyone else.

How long I keep it

If you don't reply, I delete your details within 12 months. If you tell me to stop, I keep only your email address, website and business name on a do-not-contact list so I never write again. If we work together, our agreement and the law decide what I keep.

Your rights

You can object at any time: reply "stop" or email ramon@ravandohq.com, and I won't write again.

You can also ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or ask me to limit how I use it. I answer within a month, usually the same day. If you think I've handled your details badly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Automated decisions

I rank businesses on public details (reviews, the tools on their website) to choose whom to write to first. That ranking makes no decision about you with legal or similar effect.
